Django Unchained
Honestly, this movie was a lot better than I expected it to be. Especially after the huge disappointment that Inglorious Basterds was. Nope, this movie was the (hopefully) triumphant return of the Quentin Tarantino that we all know and love. The usual things that kill his more recent films are missing. There is no hour of continuous boring dialogue that ends with the anticlimactic death of an extra. While there were a few scenes of lengthy dialogue, it wasn’t boring. It held your attention, added to the story, and didn’t drag on needlessly. Also, this film is a borderline comedy. Yeah, really. There are scenes which are purely for comic relief (“I can’t see out this fucking thing!”) and one liners scattered throughout. I actually don’t want to say too much about this film because I would rather you see it for yourself.
Bonus: The cameos. While I’d give best role to Samuel L. Jackson, Jonah Hill helping to lead a posse is outstanding.
Summary: Quentin Tarantino makes the movie you liked him for. It may be 2:46 long, but the time flies
Overall: 5/5 I want to see it again, and probably will.
Dear Google,
When I searched for Suicide Girls, this isn’t what I expected. However, I did still finish. So close enough.
Thanks
